![]() Not to mention the whole reason I tried R4 in the first place was to level out the treble spikes in the DT880s (which a V/U shaped profile brings back). ![]() which didn't sound as good as the flat profile in actual music. Doing the Sound ID preference tests, it kept giving me U or V shaped profiles. With Reference 4, I've gotten used to a flat profile with slightly boosted bass. ![]() The idea is a good one, but the only way to change your sound profile is through the preference tests. So it didn't get near loud enough (whereas with everything else the same, Reference 4 will get plenty or even too loud) The desktop client gives you NO options to control your sound. Its a cool feature that you CAN but sucks that you HAVE to do it on your phone. You have to configure the sound profile on your phone, which I don't like. If it does the same for 5/month versus 100 a year then hell yeah. ![]() I'm planning on trying the Sound ID free trial so I'll report back with my thoughts. I'm new to the audiophile experience, currently on the 21 day free trial of Reference 4 and WOW it transformed my DT 880 Edition 600 ohm cans (running the 250 ohm profile since they don't have the 600 ohm model supported). ![]()
